SUBSCRIPTIONS FAQ
What is a Subscription?
What is a Subscription?
A pack of 2, 3 or 4 performances, purchased in advance. It is more cost effective to purchase a subscription than to buy single tickets throughout the year. A subscription gives you:
- First access to the best seats at the best prices
- Unlimited no-fee exchanges (value: $15 saving per ticket)
- Tickets must be exchanged 48 hours prior to the performance
- Exclusive event invitations, pre-sales and discount offers
There are two types of subscriptions: Premium Series (Full) and Create your Own Series (CYO).
What is a Premium Subscription?
What is a Premium Subscription?
The best value and the best seats! Previously known as Full Series, with a Premium Series subscription you see all ballets (four at Arsht Center and Broward Center, two at Kravis Center, excludes Nutcracker*) at your favorite theater in the same seats every time – and your seats are renewable year after year. Premium Series subscribers have the pick of the best seats in the theater. You can add on The Nutcracker tickets at the preferred subscriber rate.
What is a Create Your Own Subscription?
What is a Create Your Own Subscription?
The most flexible subscription at great prices with all subscriber benefits included. Select 3 or 4 performances and mix and match the dates and theaters that work best for you. With a CYO, your seats vary each year and each performance (i.e. you will not keep the same seats as you would with a Premium Series). Plus, save on The Nutcracker.
How much is a subscription – what are the savings?
How much is a subscription – what are the savings?
Premium Series subscribers enjoy the best seats and first access to purchase additional seats before they go on sale to the public. CYO subscribers enjoy flexible seating along with full subscriber benefits. Ticket prices are based on seat location or zone in the theater. All prices are listed in the season brochure, and on the MCB website and are subject to change. Subscribers enjoy significant savings by paying just a one-time subscription fee of only $12, instead of the 12% service fee applied to each individual ticket purchase. Additionally, subscribers benefit from avoiding the $15 exchange fee per ticket, making it easier and more cost-effective to manage their plans. Maximize your value by becoming a subscriber today!

Subscribers may select a general seating area and make more specific requests to our Audience Services team or by making a note in the seating notes section online. I am an existing subscriber and I want to change my seats, how does this work?
Changes are processed shortly after the renewal deadline. Renewing early is the best way to ensure your seat change request has priority when being reviewed. Put your change request on your renewal order form or call Audience Services to submit your change request over the phone. You can also email your change request to audienceservices@miamicityballet.org.
If you are subscribing online, you’ll be prompted to add details of any change requests during the renewal process. We will call you when we begin processing changes. (After the deadline for Premium subscribers to renew their seats.)
While we do our best to fulfill requests, we cannot guarantee they can be made exactly as submitted. Please note: change requests can only be submitted for fully paid orders. Requests for unpaid orders will be discarded.

Yes, subscribers can exchange dates to another performance free of charge. This is one of the most popular subscriber benefits.
- Tickets for Program 1 – 4 (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Winter Mix, Spring Mix, and Carmen) performances are interchangeable within the same season. Subscribers can exchange into any other performance date, at any theater. This excludes Nutcracker.
- Nutcracker tickets can be exchanged for another Nutcracker performance only.
- Tickets are exchangeable within the same season only. (i.e. 2024/25 tickets can’t be exchanged for 2025/26 tickets.)
- Requests must be received at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled performance, before box office close.
- Exchanges are not allowed after the performance date has passed.
- If seats in the same price category are not available, we will do our best to upgrade you. If the only available seats are in a section of the auditorium with lower ticket prices, we will notify you. Sorry, there are no refunds for the difference in ticket price.

There is no dress code for Miami City Ballet. Some people dress up, some come straight from work, others are more casual. A ‘smart casual’ approach will always be appropriate. It can be cool in the theater, so an extra layer is useful.
