Step inside the creative process.

Next Stage transforms everyday spaces into stages, bringing Miami City Ballet closer to you than ever before. This reimagined pop-up series spotlights emerging choreographers from within the MCB community, sharing original works that are fresh, personal, and unexpected.

Each performance showcases a curated collection of styles including modern, classical, and contemporary as short pieces followed by a vibrant finale by Ariel Rose, blending ballet with the energy and expression of flamenco.

Stay after the performance for a live Q&A with Artistic Director Gonzalo Garcia, choreographers and dancers—and get a behind-the-scenes look at how the work comes to life.

Originally created to bring ballet directly into South Florida communities, Miami City Ballet’s Pop-Ups have transformed parks, museums, and public spaces into stages—making world-class dance accessible to audiences in unexpected places.

This season, the series evolves into a thoughtfully curated program celebrating emerging choreographic voices connected to Miami City Ballet.

The program featuring six original short works created by Miami City Ballet dancers Nathalia ArjaAshley KnoxSamantha Hope GallerStanislav Olshansky, and Antonia Duprey, highlights a wide range of artistic voices and movement styles—from classical ballet to contemporary and narrative storytelling.

The program concludes with Córdoba, a work by former Miami City Ballet dancer Ariel Rose, a larger ensemble piece inspired by the rhythms and expressive power of flamenco.

Together, these works present a diverse range of perspectives that reflect the creativity, cultural influences, and evolving artistry of Miami City Ballet’s community.

Join us for an evening of original choreography by Miami City Ballet artists.
