Fall for Dance Festival

Miami City Ballet is heading to New York.

This October, the Company returns to New York City Center’s celebrated Fall for Dance Festival, bringing Alexei Ratmansky’s Roses From the South: Three Waltzes for Toby to the New York stage.

Set to the sweeping waltzes of Johann Strauss II, Roses From the South pairs Ratmansky’s inventive choreography with the elegance, musicality and exhilarating energy of Miami City Ballet. Romantic, playful and full of movement, the work offers a fresh take on the grandeur of the classical tradition.

For more than two decades, Fall for Dance has brought together artists and companies from around the world, giving New York audiences the chance to experience an extraordinary range of dance in one festival.

The world premiere of Roses From the South: Three Waltzes for Toby was underwritten by the Ansin Foundation in honor of Toby Lerner Ansin's 85th birthday.
