Choreographic Intensive

The Choreographic Intensive is a unique, two-week summer program providing a select group of students ages 14 and up the exclusive opportunity to have work created on and for them by new and established choreographers. Students experience first-hand what it’s like to work daily in a professional dance atmosphere.
During these two weeks, students have a daily technique class with MCB faculty, followed by a full day of rehearsals with the choreographers. The program culminates with a fully produced performance to premiere the new pieces that have been created. The program concludes with a fully produced performance in our Lynn & Louis Wolfson II black box theater located at MCB Studios 2200 Liberty Ave. Miami Beach, FL 33139.
Please note that students must commit to the entirety of the program.
At the conclusion of the Choreographic Intensive, students who demonstrate exceptional talent, potential and commitment are invited to join MCB School’s accomplished year-round training program in our Pre-Professional Divisions.

MCBS RESIDENT HALL
includes lunch and dinner
The Miami City Ballet School Residence Hall is located at 224 23rd St., Miami Beach, FL 33139, occupying the second floor of The Anamar at Collins Park, adjacent to the Miami City Ballet (a one-minute walk).
For students ages 12 and up (students must turn 12 by move-in day), each two or three-bedroom suite features bunk beds, a living room, 2-3 bathrooms, and closet space. Each ‘suite’ is fully furnished, with the following: Sofa, Chairs, Desk, Mid-sized Refrigerator, Microwave, Dressers, Entertainment Center, Vanity. Additional amenities outside of the suite include: laundry facility, communal kitchen/student lounge (television, refrigerators, microwaves, seating), large ice machine, trash room, private study room, and wireless internet.
The residence has a large community room for meals, socializing, and activities. Lunch and dinner are provided, Mon – Sat., for the ultimate in living ease, security, and proximity.
The facility provides 24-hour building security, a full-time Housing Manager, and a Residence Assistant who are available around the clock to meet our students’ needs during the 2-week program.
