Children's Summer Dance

Ages 3 – 8

Miami City Ballet School is excited to host its annual Children’s Summer Dance program.

The MCBS Summer Dance Camp is a fun, active and inspirational journey into the world of dance for students ages 3 – 8. Under the guidance of the stellar MCBS faculty, classes incorporate musicality, coordination, creativity, flexibility and strength, while fostering artistic curiosity and a love of movement.

Classes & Schedule

Creative Movement (Age 3)

Meets 1x/week

Tuesday: 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM

Pre-Ballet (Age 4)

Meets 1x/week with the option to meet 2x.
Tuesday: 3:15 PM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM

Ballet Preparatory I (Age 5)

Meets 1x/week with the option to meet 2x.
Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Saturday: 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM

Ballet Preparatory II (Age 6)

Meets 1x/week with the option to meet 2x.
Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Ballet Preparatory III (Age 7 – 8)

Meets 2x/week.
Tuesday: 4:45 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM

Creative Movement (Ages 3) – $105.00
Pre-Ballet (Ages 4) – $105.00
Ballet Preparatory I (Ages 5) – $105.00
Ballet Preparatory II (Ages 6) – $118.00
Ballet Preparatory III (Ages 7-8) – $235.00

Registration fee for each level: $30.00
Program tuition is based on students attending 1x per week.

Is this program right for my child?

Children’s Summer Dance is open to all children ages 3 to 8. The program is perfect for children who want to continue their ballet studies through the summer, or those who want to try dance for the first time. Our summer classes are a wonderful introduction to the classes offered during the year-round program. Everyone is welcome. No audition is required.

Program Dates: Monday, June 30 – Saturday, July 26, 2025
Please note: Students must commit to the entirety of the four-week program.

How to Register

For New Students For Current Students

Students will be placed in the appropriate level based on their age as of June 30, 2025.

Registration closes on June 27, 2025. Classes are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. If a class reaches capacity, students are placed on a wait list.
