Miami City Ballet School is excited to offer Collins Pointe, our very own Residence Hall dorms, to students of MCBS. Providing security, proximity and a healthy community, our dorms merge artistic growth with student development in a focused and nurturing environment.

Facility

Accessible only by individual fobs, the brand-new 2nd floor space is totally secure with a private entrance/exit and is just across the walking plaza from the MCBS studios – about 30 seconds. In addition to building security, there is a full-time Housing Manager and Assistant living on site.

The facility contains 6 fully furnished two or three bedroom ‘suites’ that feature a lounge area, microwave and refrigerator. Each individual bedroom houses up to 4 students in the summer and 2 students in the winter. The suites have one bathroom per bedroom, a private vanity in each bedroom, a desk and closet/drawer space.

There is a large common room for socializing and holding group activities complete with couches, television, a quiet study space and access to our fully furnished outdoor deck. The common area also includes a kitchen and tables for meals.

The 2nd floor space contains an industrial size ice machine and laundry facilities.

Meals

Collins Pointe meals are nutritious, can accommodate dietary needs, and are specifically prepared for the growing and developing dancer.

Dinner is provided by Rice Catering, a highly regarded and versatile catering company serving the North Miami and Miami Beach communities. Chef Wally is dedicated to preparing delicious, nutritious meals and works closely with students to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs.  Dinner is served buffet-style and includes a variety of options. 

During the summer programs, lunch is delivered by Kiddo Gourmet.  Meals are designed to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions while offering a range of healthy selections.  Each student has an individual account to allow for personalized meal selection and maximum flexibility.

In the Summer, we provide lunch at the MCBS and dinners at Collins Pointe 6x per week (Mon. - Sat.).

For the winter months, we provide dinner 7x per week (Mon - Sun).

Academics

The Residence Hall is secure, new, and logistically couldn’t be any closer. It allows us to offer housing to students starting at age 12 in the summer.

For students continuing their academics, we work with Miami Beach Senior High School and have partnerships with the online institutions of Holston Academy and Laurel Springs School. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
