Ballet Preparatory I
Age 5MCBS Ballet Prep I class builds upon the Pre-Ballet experience by addressing familiar exercises and introducing new ones with a greater emphasis on posture, flexibility and strength.
Simple vocabulary movements of plié, relevé and tendu in a parallel position are introduced as coordination and balance is developed. Students begin to have a sense of community with classmates and instructors reinforcing a stimulating and creative ambiance.
Students must turn five (5) by September 1, 2024, to participate in this level. This class meets once a week for 45 minutes with the option to enroll in two classes per week. You may choose which day(s) of the week your child attends class. Class preferences are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note: Enrollment per class is limited. Once the program reaches full capacity, you will be placed on a waitlist.

Dress Code
Dress Code
Girls must wear pink leather ballet slippers with white socks and must wear the colored leotard assigned for their level. No other clothing may be worn. No jewelry except small post earrings will be allowed.
Boys must wear a white T-shirt with black shorts white ankle length socks and white leather ballet shoes.
