How Do I Audition for Miami City Ballet School?

We are currently accepting auditions for the 25/26 School Year.

Throughout the year, Miami City Ballet School offers audition opportunities to students interested in being considered for our School Year Programs in the following ways:

Option 1 – Submit a Video Audition

Option 2 – Audition at Miami City Ballet School (visit Auditions at MCBS below for more information)

Class Auditions available - August 4th, 5th, & 6th - REGISTER TODAY!

We are currently accepting Video Auditions for the following:

25/26 School Year
- Auditions for the Pre-Professional Division (Ages 14 and up) open on April 1, 2025
- Auditions for the Student Division (Ages 8 - 14) open in May 2025

VIDEO AUDITION SUBMISSION

Video Audition Details:

Please complete only ONE registration form per applicant.

If you have registered for a past program, please enter the previously used email address to submit your video audition.

Accepted students are invited for the appropriate program(s) based on artistic evaluation.

Video audition registration is available online through the Video Audition portal.
$45.00 Audition fees* are only accepted via credit card through the online audition registration.
Students will receive email notification of the results within 5 – 7 business days after video submission is received.
The video must be filmed within three months of the submission date.
Admitted students will be provided detailed instructions for registration - including parent/student handbook, pricing, dress code and performance information.
Results will not be given over the phone. No exceptions.

$45 Audition Fee – all audition fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable regardless of circumstance.

Audition registration is available now for dancers to be considered to join Miami City Ballet School for the 25/26 School Year. Dancers are invited to register for an audition class during our current programming.

AUDITION CLASS REGISTRATION

If you cannot attend one of our in-person auditions, don’t worry, video submissions are also accepted.

Audition Class Details

Students in this audition, based on their age, will be considered for our Student Division and/or Pre-Professional Division for the 25/26 School Year.
Participants only need to attend/submit one audition to be evaluated for all programs. All students will be considered for the program and assigned a division based on age & technical eligibility during the audition.
Parents/guardians will not be able to enter the building before or during the audition class.
The audition class will be 1.5 hours.
Girls of all ages should wear a leotard (any style and color), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled off the face in a bun. Girls should bring pink pointe shoes if en pointe.
Boys should wear a white shirt, black tights, and ballet shoes.
All students will receive email notification of the results within 5-7 business days after their audition. Admitted students will be provided instructions for registration. Results will not be given over the phone. No exceptions.
