Yuliia Moskalenko

Yuliia is the winner of the 2nd prize of the XII International Ballet Competition in Seoul (South Korea, 2019). In gesture of great honor, in 2017, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (unicameral parliament of Ukraine), specifically awarded Yuliia for her “significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture and art, the formation of national values, many years of conscientious work, high professionalism and on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the National Opera of Ukraine to award,”
Yuliia is a native of Kyiv, Ukraine, where she graduated from the Kyiv State Ballet College in 2011. From there she was accepted into Ukraine’s preeminent ballet company, the National Opera of Ukraine, where she rose to the rank of principal. She performed many leading roles including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, the title roles in Cinderella, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Paquita, La Bayadére, Don Quixote, La Sylphide, Le Corsaire, Spartacus, Carmen Suite, Scheherazade, Les Sylphides, Mavka "Forest song", Gerda "Snow Queen", Carla "Viennese waltz", Calpurnia “Julius Caesar”, Chloe "Daphnis and Chloe", Queen “The night before Christmas”, Klaris “Lady with camellias”, Beatrice “Dante”, Adagio “Lily”, “The vagaries of fate”, D-flat major “Eyes wide shut”, Touch of illusion by Ricardo Amarante, Radio and Juliet by Edward Clug.
Yuliia served as a prominent figure in the "Nutcracker" project, collaborating with a French company to produce captivating digital video content. Yuliia danced in The Nutcracker at the Taras Shevchenko National Opera House in Kyiv, Ukraine, as the principal female soloist when the ballet was filmed by Bel Air Media in May 2018. Film being released on DVD and Blu-ray as well as on the international streaming platform Medici TV and OperaVision. In addition to its distribution on home video and online, The Nutcracker was featured in Ladislas Chollat's feature film Let's Dance, which was released in many countries.
Yuliia has toured in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, USA, Canada, South Korea, China, Germany, the UAE (Dubai), Greece, the Netherlands, Mexico, Guatemala, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
As war broke out in Ukraine, Yuliia sought help to escape the war and to find a new home to dance. In June 2022, with the help of Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez and several others, Yuliia was granted a United States Visa allowing her to work in the country.
Yuliia joined MCB in 2022.
