Yuliia Moskalenko
Hometown: Kyiv, Ukraine
Yuliia is a native of Ukraine, where she graduated from the Kyiv State Ballet College in 2011. From there she was accepted into Ukraine’s preeminent ballet company, the National Opera of Ukraine, where she rose to the rank of principal. She performed many leading roles including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, the title roles in Cinderella and Giselle, Juliet in Radio and Juliet (set to the music of Radiohead), Aegina in Spartacus, as well as The Nutcracker, Paquita, La Bayadére, Don Quixote, and many more.
Yuliia has toured in Japan, Canada, China, Germany, Russia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, France, and other countries.
As war broke out in Ukraine, Yuliia sought help to escape the war and to find a new home to dance. In June 2022, with the help of Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez and several others, Yuliia was granted a United States Visa allowing her to work in the country.
Yuliia joined MCB as principal in 2022.
