SarahAnne Perel

SarahAnne Perel trained at the School of American Ballet for ten years. Upon graduation she received a corps de ballet contract with Los Angeles Ballet, under the direction of Colleen Neary and Thordal Christensen. There, she danced many roles including Neapolitan in Swan Lake and Amore in Don Quixote, and originated the role of Clara in their newly choreographed Nutcracker.
After a few seasons, SarahAnne began her studies at Duke University. She joined the Duke Dance Program under the mentorship of Tyler Walters and Julie Janus Walters. While at Duke, she continued to perform with Los Angeles Ballet, and also began performing with Carolina Ballet, the Duke Dance Program, and the student-run Devils en Pointe, of which she was the Artistic Director. Notable campus residencies included Alonzo King and Ballet X, as well as a multi-year partnership with ABT. The Dance Program awarded her the Clay Taliaferro and Julia Wray Awards, and she graduated from Duke magna cum laude in the spring of 2020.
After graduation, SarahAnne joined the corps de ballet at Carolina Ballet under Robert Weiss and Zalman Raffael. There, she had the opportunity to be in many works by Weiss and Raffael as well as Amy Hall Garner, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, and Gianna Reisen. She also worked very closely with Robert Weiss and Melissa Podcasy on original repertory, and was coached by Pablo Perez, Debra Austin, and Olga Kostritzky. During her time at CB, SarahAnne also served in the Marketing Department, and was on faculty at Barriskill Dance Theater School.
SarahAnne joined MCB as corps de ballet in 2024.
