Peyton Andersen
Peyton Andersen is from Maryville, TN where he started his dance training with the Appalachian Ballet Company.
At age 15 he was invited to train under Peter Stark and Margaret Tracey, at Boston Ballet School. He spent summers at Boston Ballet School, The School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School and Masterclasses in Prague with Daria Klimentova.
Peyton has been working with the company since joining the Miami City Ballet School under Arantxa Ochoa in 2021. He first danced in Alexei Ratmansky’s North American premiere of Swan Lake. He has since had the chance to dance other ballets such as John Cranko’s Romeo & Juliet, Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night's Dream, La Valse, The Nutcracker, as well as Jerome Robbin’s Glass Pieces.
Since joining as a company apprentice, Peyton was a part of Alexei Ratmansky’s newest premiere on the company Roses From the South: Three Waltzes for Toby. He danced in Tiler Peck’s Dance Measures in collaboration with the New World Symphony, Lopez-Ochoa’s Carmen, Balanchine’s Diamonds, Serenade, as well as Justin Peck’s Year of the Rabbit and Heatscape.
Peyton joins MCB’s corps de ballet for the 26/27 season.
