Natalia Scheinson
Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
Natalia Scheinson was born in New York, and grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her tap, jazz, and ballet training before joining Charlotte Ballet Academy for three years. She additionally received coaching from Nikoloz Makhateli, Mariaelena Ruiz, and Jamie Dee Clifton. At age 14, Natalia joined Houston Ballet Academy’s Professional Program on a full merit scholarship, where she was trained by Cheryne Busch and Susan Bryant. Natalia also took classes with the ABT JKO School on a full merit scholarship, under the direction of Cynthia Harvey.
In 2022, at 17, Natalia joined Houston Ballet II for two seasons. There, she danced many lead classical and contemporary roles including Aurora, Raymonda, and Stanton Welch AM’s Bruiser, as well as performed with Houston Ballet’s corps de ballet in works such as Swan Lake during their Japan Tour, and Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes. She performed various lead roles while on tour at the Chautauqua Institution with Houston Ballet, including Stanton Welch AM’s Time to Dance, Bruiser, and Play. Natalia has been recognized with various scholarship awards, among them the Lauren Anderson Young Dancer Scholarship Award. Additionally, in 2023, she was selected to represent Houston Ballet at Canada National Ballet School’s Assemblée Internationale.
Natalia spent her summers at intensives around the world, among them the Royal Ballet School, Académie Princesse Grace, School of American Ballet, Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive, and San Francisco Ballet School.
Natalia joined Miami City Ballet as a corps de ballet member in 2024.
