Maximiliano Iglesias

Maximiliano Iglesias, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, began his training at the age of ten at the Fundación Julio Bocca, where he studied under Patricia Carraro, Silvia Bazilis, Raúl Candal, Katty Gallo, Ricardo Rivas, and Daniel Negroni. In 2006 he was admitted to the Instituto Superior de Arte of Teatro Colón, continuing his training with Igor Gopkalo, Tatiana Fesenko, Rina Valverde, and Roberto Dimitrievich.

He began his professional career in 2010 with Ballet Estable of Teatro Colón, becoming Soloist in 2017 and Principal in 2018. His repertoire there included leading roles in The Nutcracker (Nureyev, Segni), La Bayadère (Makarova), Giselle (Wright), Swan Lake (Wright, Galizzi), The Sleeping Beauty (Galizzi), Le Corsaire (Holmes), Don Quixote (Vasiliev), Coppélia (Martínez), Cinderella (Stevenson), La Sylphide (Lacotte, Kobborg), and The Merry Widow (Hynd), as well as Romeo and Juliet (MacMillan), Theme and Variations and Symphony in C (Balanchine), Nuestros Valses (Nebrada), and Clear (Stanton Welch).

In 2022, Iglesias joined The Sarasota Ballet as a Principal Dancer, performing a wide range of repertory by Sir Frederick Ashton (Romeo and Juliet, Sylvia, Varii Capricci, Valses Nobles et Sentimentales, Façade, Les Patineurs), George Balanchine (Theme and Variations, Serenade, Divertimento No. 15, Emeralds, Rubies, Who Cares?, Western Symphony, The Four Temperaments), Sir Kenneth MacMillan (Las Hermanas, Danses Concertantes), Jerome Robbins (In the Night, Fancy Free), Twyla Tharp (In the Upper Room), Paul Taylor (Company B), Edwaard Liang (The Art of War), Jessica Lang (A Time of Beauty, Lyric Pieces), and Gemma Bond (The Beginning, Excursions, Panoramic Score).

In 2026, Iglesias joined Miami City Ballet.
