Lorenzo Dunton

Hometown: La Verne, California

Growing up in La Verne, California, Lorenzo started his training at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy at the age of 4. He attended summer programs with Joffrey Ballet and ABT, where he was named a National Training Scholar. In 2017, he pursued his training at Canada’s National Ballet School, graduating in 2020. While at NBS, Lorenzo was one of two students selected to represent the school at the 2020 Prix de Lausanne Choreographic Workshop. After graduation, Lorenzo spent a year training with the San Francisco Ballet School, followed by a year in the Post-Graduate program at Boston Ballet. He performed in Mikko Nissinen’s production of The Nutcracker as well as performances with Boston Ballet 2.

Lorenzo joined Charlotte Ballet’s Second Company for the 22/23 season and was promoted to the main company later that year. During his time in Charlotte, he performed in works by Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Ib Anderson, Mthuthuzeli November, Alejandro Cerrudo, Andrea Schermoly, Penny Saunders, and Christoper Stuart. In addition, he has worked with Cirio Collective, founded and directed by Jeffrey and Lia Cirio, for their 2022 and 2024 seasons.

Lorenzo joined Miami City Ballet for the Southern California tour of Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake and then as a corps de ballet member for the 25/26 season. Since joining, Lorenzo has performed in ballets by George Balanchine, Alexei Ratmansky, Justin Peck, Paul Taylor, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Tiler Peck, Durante Verzola, and Ariel Rose.
