Lorenzo Dunton

Hometown: La Verne, California

Growing up in La Verne, California, Lorenzo started his training at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy at the age of 4. He attended summer programs with Joffrey Ballet and ABT, where he was named a National Training Scholar. In 2017, he pursued his training at Canada’s National Ballet School where he graduated in 2020. While at NBS, Lorenzo was one of two students selected to represent the school at the 2020 Prix de Lausanne Choreographic Workshop. After graduation, Lorenzo spent a year training with the San Francisco Ballet School, followed by a year in the Post-Graduate program at Boston Ballet. He performed in Mikko Nissinen’s production of The Nutcracker as well as performances with Boston Ballet 2.

Lorenzo joined Charlotte Ballet’s Second Company for the 22/23 season and was promoted to the first company later that year. During his time in Charlotte, he performed Siegfried and Neapolitan in Ib Anderson’s Swan Lake, Peter Pan in Christoper Stuart’s Peter Pan, Jiří Kylián’s Petit Mort, Johan Inger’s Walking Mad, Andrea Shermoly’s world premiere of Carmen, Alejandro Cerrudo’s Little Mortal Jump, Pacopepepluto, and Silent Ghost, and works by Ohad Naharin, Mthuthuzeli November, and Penny Saunders. In addition, he has worked with the Cirio Collective, founded and directed by Jeffrey and Lia Cirio, for their 2022 and 2024 season.

Lorenzo was invited to join Miami City Ballet for their southern California tour of Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake and is thrilled to join the corps de ballet in 2025.
