Isabella Devivo

Isabella DeVivo grew up in Great Neck, New York and trained at The School of American Ballet. She joined San Francisco Ballet’s Trainee Program in 2012 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2013. She was promoted to Soloist in 2017.

Ms. DeVivo’s repertoire with San Francisco Ballet includes the title role in Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella, Frida Kahlo in Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Broken Wings, Lescaut’s Mistress in Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon, Olga in Yuri Possokhov’s Onegin, and Henriette in Raymonda. She has also performed principal and roles in works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Alexei Ratmansky, Liam Scarlett, Justin Peck, and Helgi Tomasson.

She has had the opportunity to create roles with choreographers including Christopher Wheeldon, Stanton Welch, Dwight Rhoden, Jamar Roberts, Trey McIntyre, Myles Thatcher, Azure Barton, and Val Caniparoli. 

Outside of the ballet stage, Ms. DeVivo has enjoyed a number of memorable performance experiences, including dancing on Sesame Street and performing on Broadway in Chita Rivera: A Dancer’s Life, where she portrayed the young Chita Rivera
