Giselle Tirét
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
Giselle Tirét was born in Portland Oregon where she began her training at Oregon Ballet Theatre under the direction of Damara Bennett, continuing her training at The Portland Ballet lead by Nancy Davis. Throughout her training there she worked with John Clifford and performed in a number of his ballets. Giselle has attended summers training at San Francisco ballet, Ballet West, School of American ballet workshop, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet School and as an exchange student at the National Ballet School of Canada.
Since joining Miami City Ballet school at 14, she’s performed leading roles in the school performances such as Choleric in George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and both the First Movement and Fourth Movement Principal in George Balanchine’s Western Symphony.
As a student Giselle has had many opportunities to perform in Corp de ballet roles with the company and was recently made a company apprentice in 2023. Since then having performed in a new work called Delight by Ricardo Amarante, a Princess in George Balanchine’s Firebird and Tall Swans in Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake.
Giselle was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2024.
Tiret was a Miami City Ballet School Alumnus.
