Antonia Deprey

Hometown: Palo Alto, California

Antonia Deprey was born and raised in Palo Alto, California. At age four, she was enrolled in her first dance classes. The following year, she began attending the Menlo Park Academy of Dance where she trained for ballet under the instruction of Sarah-Jane Measor, Michael Lowe and their team of teachers. She later trained with Kristin Elliott for several years. She has also had the opportunity to work closely with Francis Veyette and Kristin Long. At age 15 she pursued her training at the San Francisco Ballet School where she spent four years under the leadership of Patrick Armand. She performed alongside the San Francisco Ballet in various programs including Balanchine's Symphony in C, Tomasson’s NutcrackerSwan Lake, and Don Quixote. She also performed multiple ballets and excerpts in the school’s showcases including Tomasson’s Haffner Symphony, Christensen's Beauty and the Beast, and Saint-Leon’s Animated Frescoes. To begin her professional experience she joined BalletMet II under the direction of Edward Liang. During her season with BalletMet II she worked alongside the company, as well as performing repertoire within the BalletMet II group. She is thrilled to continue her dance journey with the Miami City Ballet.
