Adrienne Carter
Hometown: Kennesaw, Georgia
Adrienne Carter was born and raised in Kennesaw, GA, where she began her dance training at her family-owned dance studio, Impact Dance of Atlanta (Now Inspirit Dance Academy). During her training, Carter attended summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet, School of American Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Miami City Ballet School. She moved to Miami in 2008 to train full-time at Miami City Ballet School under Carter Alexander, Geta Constantinescu, and Rafi Maldonado-Lopez. As a student at MCBS, she was invited to perform multiple programs with the company and was offered a company apprenticeship for Miami City Ballet’s 2010/2011 season, in January 2011 she joined the company's corps de ballet. Carter has danced much of the company’s Balanchine and contemporary repertory and has had the opportunity to work with world-renowned choreographers such as Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky, Pontus Lidberg, and many others.
Carter was promoted to the rank of soloist in 2022.
Carter was a Miami City Ballet School Alumnus.
