In a meaningful full-circle moment for Miami City Ballet, this world premiere marks Patricia Delgado’s return to the company—this time as a choreographer. A former Principal Dancer and a Miami native, Delgado’s artistic roots were shaped on this stage, where she developed her deep musicality and expressive classical foundation.

Since her performing career, Delgado has emerged as an award-winning choreographer whose work spans ballet, theater, and Broadway, most notably as choreographer of Buena Vista Social Club. Known for blending classical structure with contemporary freedom, her choreography is grounded in emotional clarity and dynamic physical storytelling. This new work continues MCB’s commitment to nurturing artists whose voices are both deeply connected to the company’s history and boldly oriented toward its future.
