Miami City Ballet Welcomes New Board Members as Company Moves from 40th Anniversary Season into Gonzalo Garcia’s First Programmed Season, 2026/27
(Miami Beach, FL – May 18, 2026) — Miami City Ballet appointed June Yee Felix to its Board of Directors and Ana Martin-Lavielle, Esq. B.C.S. to its Board of Trustees, effective April 21, 2026. The announcement comes as MCB recently concluded its landmark 40th Anniversary Season and looks ahead to the 2026–27 Season, the first fully programmed by Artistic Director Gonzalo Garcia, as well as the arrival of Scott Altman as Executive Director.
Upon this announcement, MCB Board Chair Jeff Davis said, “Our Directors and Trustees play a vital role in advancing Miami City Ballet’s artistic vision, institutional growth, and long-term impact within the community. Following its 40th Anniversary Season, Miami City Ballet turns toward the 2026–27 Season, Garcia’s first fully programmed season as Artistic Director. Across five major programs presented throughout South Florida, the season brings together classical masterworks, company premieres, world premieres, and audience favorites. Highlights include the MCB debut of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland; the return of Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake; world premieres by Patricia Delgado and Tiler Peck; the company premiere of Jerome Robbins’ N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz; and the return of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.

ABOUT THE NEW BOARD MEMBERS
June Yee Felix joins MCB’s Board of Directors.
June Yee Felix is an internationally recognized business executive who most recently served as Group CEO of IG Group Plc, a FTSE 100 global fintech company headquartered in the United Kingdom. During her tenure from 2018 through 2023, the company doubled both revenues and profits while significantly expanding its international presence. Felix currently serves on the Boards of Directors of RELX Plc, a global data analytics and information company with decades of experience leveraging AI; Iron Mountain Incorporated, an information management and analytics company; and Hiscox Ltd, a global specialty insurance company. Her career has included senior leadership positions at Verifone, Citibank, IBM, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Certco, with a longstanding focus on financial services, technology, and innovation across the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Pre-Med. Among numerous international honors, she was ranked Number One in the Top 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology in Europe in 2021. Felix also serves as Regional Co-head of the International Chapter of C200, an invitation-only membership organization for women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, and is an active mentor to female senior executives.
Ana Martin-Lavielle, Esq. B.C.S. joins MCB’s Board of Trustees.
Ana Martin-Lavielle, Esq. B.C.S., is the managing partner of her firm and has dedicated 40 years to the practice of marital and family law. Recognized by The Florida Bar as a specialist in matrimonial and family law, she has been Board Certified in Marital and Family Law since 1999. She is also certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator and is trained in collaborative dispute resolution for family cases. Widely respected for her expertise in complex and emotionally sensitive family matters, Martin-Lavielle is frequently sought out by fellow practitioners to mediate challenging cases. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she has represented clients from a broad range of professional and cultural backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, musicians, and business leaders. Martin-Lavielle holds the AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction awarded to attorneys by the organization. She has consistently been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by the South Florida Legal Guide and has been named a “Super Lawyer” annually since 2006. She was also selected for the inaugural edition of the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers.
Beyond her legal practice, Martin-Lavielle has maintained a strong commitment to civic and community engagement. She c was a member of the Coral Gables Landscape Beautification Advisory Board and has previously served on the boards of the YWCA and Planned Parenthood. Earlier in her career, she received multiple awards recognizing her service as a Guardian Ad Litem on behalf of children in Miami-Dade County. Martin-Lavielle earned both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from the University of Miami.
